remote HMI for ventilators
This came up a few weeks ago and I feel it may be worth revisiting based on recent discussions about bottlenecks. Vision: a clip-on electromechanical universal remote for touchscreen-operated medical devices like ventilators that would allow practitioners to monitor and adjust parameters without suiting up and entering isolated patient areas. Clearly lots of concerns about reliability, hackability, compliance, etc. Would include a built-in camera to mirror the UI. Maybe an optical data link to enforce line-of-site and avoid EMI concerns.
Thoughts? Worth prototyping?
